TEASE: The Story

Once upon a time... there was a hairdresser named Carol. Carol (Jasin) is the proud, and somewhat sassy, owner of TEASE Salon. Carol has worked in the beauty industry since 1985, which gives her nearly 25 years of hair experience (she started doing hair when she was only 10, which is why she looks like she is only 35).

After several years of working for other establishments, Carol took a leap of faith (and a loan) and opened her own salon in St. Paul. Carol’s first salon was located on historical Grand Avenue and it turned out to be a great success. The Grand Salon was a small eclectic place in a wonderful location, attracting devoted clients for 11 years. The Grand Salon had the same fun, friendly feel that is evident today at TEASE, but The Grand was quite tiny. It was a good place to start, but Carol’s dreams eventually outgrew the space and the concept of TEASE was born.

Carol’s vision was GIGANTIC! She took steps to make her vision a reality in 2006 with the move to a new location, better equipped to house her dream. The space on West 7th was perfect with its spacious, airy, and quirky industrial feel. TEASE is a very special salon, recognizable as soon as one walks through the front door. It is much more than a place to go for a haircut or a manicure; it’s a creative work of art that combines a passion for hair that attends to trends and classic styles with a love of people, many years of business experience, and a bit of an artsy, yet unpretentious edge. One simply needs to experience TEASE.

Carol’s vision for TEASE Salon, Spa & Boutique is to delight customers with an incredible, personalized visit.
